Mina House

Mina House is an INDEPENDENT LIVING residence designed to provide a safe, clean and sober home setting lifestyle. Our goal is to create a culture in which respect and diversity can enhance ones life. We are a community that provides support and constant reinforcement of recovery principles.


Who is Eligible?

Males and females, over the age of 18, who are committed to a "clean and sober" lifestyle are welcome at Mina House. You must be a successful graduate of a licensed treatment program within the last 12 months and be clean and sober at the time of admittance.

Residents must be willing to pursue an education or employment.

Residents must be willing to attend "daily recovery work". (AA, NA, aftercare, etc.)


Curfew

Sunday - Thursday 11:30pm
Friday -Saturday 12:30pm


Recovery Meetings

Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Intensive Outpatient treatment and aftercare programs all qualify as recovery meetings. Residents must attend one recovery meeting per day.

 



 
Employment
  • All Mina Residents must obtain employment or enroll in school within 2 weeks of arrival unless other arrangements have been made.
  • Full time school attendance is a viable alternative to employment.
  • Work Schedules and meeting verification sheets are to be turned in at the beginning of each week.
  • Residents not employed or in school after 2 weeks are required to donate 20 hours per week to a local charity (4 hours per day)


Community Rules

  • Meetings are held at the main office Monday - Thursday 5-5:30 pm and Friday 4:30 pm
  • Daily directives are to be planned during these meetings.
  • Weekly work schedules and meeting verification sheets will be collected at that time.
  • Random room checks will be conducted.
  • Mina House does not have 24 hour supervision.


Visitor Policy

Visitors are allowed Sunday - Thursday until 10:00 pm and Friday - Saturday until 12:00 midnight.
NO OVERNIGHT VISITORS (male or female).

Fees are inclusive of: Shared furnished apartment, electricity (up to $50/unit), Air Conditioning and Heat, Basic Cable Television.
